How it works
Lasers and infrared cameras assess every follicle to select only the most suitable for transplant. Just 10–15% of follicles are taken from any one area, which protects the donor zone and keeps future treatments possible. Unlike manual FUE, the robot holds its precision without tiring for the length of the procedure.

Who is it for?
ARTAS® iX is particularly suited to androgenetic alopecia, receding temples and a thinning crown, as well as adding density after earlier procedures and correcting visible scars from strip harvesting. It requires a sufficient donor area at the back of the head with healthy, transplantable follicles.
Why ARTAS® iX FUE?
The ARTAS® iX system represents the leading edge of technology in hair transplantation. The approach is already established in cardiac and kidney surgery, and leaves markedly less scarring than traditional FUT.
Procedure
The procedure is done as an outpatient under local anaesthetic. The hair is trimmed to about 1 mm so the follicles can be read accurately. Lasers and infrared cameras assess each one to select only the most suitable. Harvesting is fully automated and highly precise, taking just 10–15% of follicles from any one area to protect the donor zone. The grafts are then placed into fine recipient channels, following natural growth direction and density.
The procedure is minimally invasive and virtually pain-free, keeps complications to a minimum and lets you return to everyday activities quickly.
Is the treatment painful?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic and is virtually pain-free. Mild redness and a feeling of tightness can follow, both of which settle within a few days.
How does ARTAS® iX differ from manual FUE?
The robot works with computer-guided precision and does not tire, so harvesting quality stays consistently high from start to finish. Transection rates are lower and the donor area is preserved more evenly.
Can ARTAS® iX be combined with other treatments?
Yes. It combines very well with PRP, mesotherapy, Regenera Activa or Seffihair® to further support graft survival and hair quality. We agree the best approach with you at the consultation.
